More alcohol ink paintings

I just love working with alcohol inks! I am discovering more techniques and learning more about the inks and how they behave (or not...). Both paintings are done on A4 size (8 1/4" x 11 3/4") Yupo paper with Ranger alcohol inks and Promarkers for the details. Both are for sale in my Etsy shop (shopname is Kitty69).

Making ATC's today

I have been making several kinds of ATC's (artist trading cards) today. I sold some in my Etsy shop and decided to make a peacock series for the shop.

And then I played with alcohol inks and made some ATC's for the Art-a-thon on www.atcsforall.com. A few abstract landscapes in alcohol ink.

And a few with pen and watercolors. The flamingo is one of them.

This week I have been working on some more flowers in alcohol ink. I love blue flowers but had some problems with the background. It was too messy, then too dark, and now I am ok with it. Love the orange and blue combination.

One more pastel

I really enjoyed working with pastel again so I decided to take an image from last weeks Drawing Event (which I painted with watercolors) and make a lovely pastel painting out of it. The size is about 8" x 12". The painting is for sale in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/Kitty69.

WDE 18 Jan 2012 - Onions

It has been such a long time ago that I worked with pastel. For this weeks Weekend Drawing Event on WetCanvas I took out my pastel pencils and created this still life. The paper is a darker blue mi-teintes paper from Canson and the size is about 8"x 12". I love the shine of the onions.
